Text Box: “Madelyn’s Angel”

Text Box: This was a departure for me.  I painted this for my granddaughter, who’s gone on to live in Heaven, so her Mommy & Dad have this to remember her by.  I’ve always loved the Victorian depiction of the langorous female form.  Not only is this in memory of Madelyn, but it’s my humble tribute to the grand masters like Alma Tadema and Bougereau.  Acrylic on canvas.  Canvas size: 18” x 2 4”

Text Box: Arabian Stallion At Liberty

Text Box: A very large acrylic painting (approximately 36” x 48” ) on stretched canvas, he surveys the living room of a well-loved ranch house in the Bitterroot Valley.   Commissioned a fellow-lover of Arabian horses who asked for a grey stallion, in motion.  I captured him at play, buy the water and reeds, ready to spin away….

Text Box: “Girlfriends”

Text Box: This is a little painting that I’ve wanted to do for a very long time.  It depicts my mare, Gai, next to her best girlfriend, May, also an Arabian.  They’re such good friends that they greet each other with enthusiasm, whisper and sigh and tell secrets, just like human girlfriends.  Watercolor and gouache on 7” x 9” board.

Text Box: “The Beauty Of Bint Mohena”

Text Box: A tiny  gem of a painting that sold almost immediately at last year’s Daly Show.  An exquistite Arabian mare, backlit by sunlight so that it shines through her mane like the halo she deserves.  One of my favorites.  Acrylic on 5” x 7” board.  Framed size 13” x 15”.

Text Box: “In The Glen”

Text Box: Another from the mom and baby series of 2003.  At dawn, the aged grey mare nuzzles her lively and luminous palomino foal, undoubtedly whispering, “Pay attention! And don’t talk to strangers!”  Acrylic on 6” x 8” illustration board.  Framed size 12” x 14”.

Text Box: “Amoire”

Text Box: An antique wooden armoire, revamped and fully painted inside and out, taking on new life as  an entertainment center.  Covered with animals and symbols of Sacred Geometry, this is a real statement piece.  Acrylic on wood.  Private collection.

Text Box: Sold Gallery

Text Box: Each of these works of art is a unique original, lovingly cared for by it’s owner and still protected by my copyrights.  They are here for your viewing pleasure to give you a glimpse into the Gallery of my Past.    Though far from a complete record of previous works, they are a sampling to show the range of recent pieces of my modern, “Western Era”.  Every  day is a Day Of Discovery when it comes to change, so it’s nice to have a record...Some sold hides are shown on the “Hides” page.  You can click on any photo to see a larger version.

Text Box: “Madelyn’s Angel”

Text Box: Email me

Text Box: This horse looks almost identical to one who used to own me.  Her name was Silver Serafina — and she packed attitude.  This horse, of course, is a stallion.  You can tell the way he moves.  A mare with attitude still moves like a girl.   Acrylic on board. Framed size is 12” x 15”.  Image size is 9” x 12”.

Text Box: “At Liberty”

Text Box: This is my friend, Betty, in The Bob Marshall Wilderness.  She ropes, she cuts, she ranches and chases cows, she trail rides — but that early dressage training always shows though.  Acrylic on board.  Image is 7” x 5”.  Framed size is a tad under 13” x 11”.

Text Box: “Dressage Queen”

Text Box: June and her Quarter mare, Paige ,on the left visiting with Jeanne and her paint gelding, Sierra.   I love this little vignette.  Everyone’s so relaxed.   While the girls chat, the horses look downstream and their tails float in the current.  Acrylic on board.  Image size is 7” x 5”.   Framed size is a smidge under 13 x 11”.

Text Box: “The Crossing”

Text Box: My friend, Ann, in The Bob Marshall Wilderness, ready and waiting  for the pack string to get loaded in the morning.   Acrylic on board.  Image size is 7” x 5”.   Framed size is  11 3/4”  x  9 3/4”.

Text Box: “Cowgirls Rule”
